So my first participation at the Surrey Vegan Fair in Haslemere on Saturday 24th February did not start off as I intended.
My well practiced tent preparation did not take account of the prevailing wind on the allocated pitch and even with 40kgs of weights was just not going to work.
Abandoned tent and set up my "stall" with music, heater and blankets on the pavement. Quite humorous really! But what a joy! Lovely visits from lovely dogs and their Guardians, with plenty of interest in my supported charity, www.Hereforcats.org.
Thank you to Simon and Lou of www.surreyvegan.co.uk for your help.
I decided to re-locate myself, with blankets, to the green in the sunshine and such a wonderful surprise : An Animal Communication client, with whom I had worked last year, the lovely Roxy, visited with her equally lovely Guardian.
They had travelled quite far for a surprise visit. Was absolutely super to finally meet them both "in the flesh". It was a delight to offer Roxy some Reiki too. It made my day.
See, sometimes, things turn out better than you think they may. See you there next month.
