Animal Communication

For as long as I can remember, animals have always been an important part of my life.  I was brought up to realise that all animals, matter enormously. My parents instilled a feeling of respect for all living things.

With a background in Change Management, and a career in Management Learning and Development, I equally am passionate about helping individuals be the best they can be, in whatever they are hoping to achieve.

My path toward Animal Communication began several years ago, initiated through my decision to undertake my Reiki training. I am now a Reiki Master Teacher, offering Reiki, to both people and animals.

Having attended many Animal Communication Workshops, working with individual clients and giving support to animal charities, I have come to realise that developing and supporting Animal Communication capabilities in others is a key part of my life.

It is a great privilege to work with animals, their guardians/caregivers and students and I learn a great deal from all of them.  I truly believe that the interactions for all involved can be life changing.

The connections and understanding through communication that we have with animals, teaches us a great deal about ourselves too.  The animals that come into our lives can sometimes adopt our emotional and even physical issues, manifesting, sometimes, as their own. This can sometimes be exhibited through certain behaviours.

Perhaps, therefore, we have a responsibility, through communicating, to bring these to the surface, if they wish, to help them where needed and in turn, to understand our relationship with them a little better.

Sometimes "through their eyes we often see ourselves more clearly”.

- Brightwater Reiki

  • How long is a typical Reiki session?
You should allow a good hour and a half for your visit. A typical session would last an hour, but I will take as long as is needed.
  • What should I wear for a Reiki session?
As long as you are comfortable, anything is fine. A Reiki session is given fully clothed and extra blankets will be available, should you require. Please just ask.
  • How many sessions am I likely to need?
This will vary from individual to individual and can be discussed at the initial consultation, though may be dependant on your experience of the initial session.
  • How long should I leave between sessions?
Again this is down to your experience but I would recommend a minimum of a week.
  • How will I feel after a Reiki session?
You will feel relaxed and possibly, ironically, energised but you should take it easy for a few hours after a session (not always easy !), drinking plenty of water. By all means feel free to contact me with any questions you have after a treatment. I will, with your permission, follow-up with you after an initial session.
  • Would you visit my home for a Reiki session?
I am happy to discuss this but in the case of animal companions this would be preferable.
  • Do you have insurance?
As a member of the UK Reiki Federation, I have suitable public liability insurance.

Communication Consultation Testimonials

I was contacted by a lady in Spain to help with a Cat. She was keen for me to communicate with Josephine, to explain to her that the lady wished to take her to her home, as the managers of the complex where the stray cats were living were unhappy about the cats being there, and were requesting the cats be re-located.
Through email initially, I explained that whilst I could do that, Josephine (as with any animal) has free will and may not wish to take up the offer of a new home. We had discussion on the matter and I offered practical suggestions as an alternative.

The guardian understood this well, but in feeling she would be doing the right thing, managed to trap Josephine and take her to her home.

This was done, with loving intention.

Josephine escaped the apartment and, what had initially begun as a simple communication request, quickly turned into a “lost animal” scenario. Indeed, the guardian felt that Josephine, had perhaps died.
Dealing with a “lost animal” situation can be very challenging. (This is why many communicators do not undertake this work, and, I do not, very often, though I imagine there are some that perhaps specialise in it.)
The obvious reason being client emotions are running high and you need to be able to try to calm these, as much as possible, whilst continuing with a communication connection.

You also need to be able to sense very quickly whether an animal has “passed” or remains in their body (alive) and to be able to confidently convey this information to their guardian.

In this situation, through initial connection, I was confident that Josephine was still alive, and I shared that, with her guardian.

The further challenge with lost animals is that (if able) they move around to different locations and whilst they will share images/sensations and information with you, this can quickly change over time and there is always the difficulty in persuading a guardian not to spend their days in a heightened anxiety state following every possible lead. That is easy to say and so very hard, for a person seeking to find their lost animal.

I spoke to Josephine’s guardian at this point and offered suggestions about what to do.

Josephine had shared an image with me of a “square block” with toilets, nearby a storage area and what appeared to be metal waste bins. She went on to share an image of pink shrubby plants, around 4ft high (though I doubted they would be in flower in November) and a two-tiered water feature with circular fountains.

Her guardian responded :
“I am going in a few minutes to see the place she described to you.
The water circles you mentioned would be a small waterfall close to the storage boxes and the waste bins.
I will be calm and tranquil.

I took some pictures of the description Josephine told. And when you see the photos you will realise that her description was right and you capture perfectly, all of them. - Square block with storages, the fountain with water circles and bouganvilles - the only blossom flowers we currently have - are very close to our apartment.

The waste bins are behind the storages.”
A couple of days later I received the best news from her guardian:
“ Hello Sam,
I hope you are well.
Josephine came back and she is fine and really loving with me.
Thank you so much Sam ! I do not have words to tell you how happy I felt because of your help”

Her guardian has now kindly written this lovely testimonial:
‘ I was desperate because Josephine one of the 4 abandoned cats I look after them during the past 7 years disappeared. I love them as they were my cats. However, it was impossible to adopt them because we have 6 cats at home.

I had the good fortune to contact Sam. She is so lovely and very warm and an extraordinarily animal Communicator.

Sam got in touch with Josephine and sent me what Josephine had said to her. It was impressive because everything Sam told me proved Josephine is hiding in the garden of our resort which it is very big.
As Sam told me, I went on with my daily meditations trying to be with her. However, I did not feel anything until the Sunday morning.

I woke up and started with my meditation trying to visualise her. I did not see her but I felt like an energy coming from her.

It’s very difficult to put this sensation in words. It was like she was with me through our mutual energies or vibrations.

As usual I went to feed the other kitties and suddenly Josephine appeared from the bushes she used to be.
When I saw her, I thought it was a dream. She came to me as she did it every day. Following Sam’s suggestions, I spoke to her very slowly but I did not move.
Then she approached to me looking for cuddles on her head. While I was making cuddles she ate and at the same time she was purring.

I cried of happiness.

No words are enough to express our gratitude to Sam. Thank you so much!! “

As a post script, Mary has been speaking with the owners of the complex where Josephine resides, and they are happy for her to remain there.
I am grateful that Mary’s English was far superior to my Spanish! A Happy ending and I wish that all “lost animal” situations would be the same. X

Sam Munro is a talented “animal intuitive” who has helped us gain greater insight into why our dogs behave the way the do. Her work has helped us deepen our bonds with our fur babies (couldn’t believe it was possible until it happened!). We highly recommend Sam’s readings and Reiki! Five stars from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sam has a wonderfully unique way of communicating with both humans and animals. She puts you and your pets at ease from the first moment you're in touch with her and leaves a hugely positive & lasting impression and sense of peace long after she leaves. I was blown away at how much compassion, insight, healing and support Sam gave us through her animal communication sessions & supportive reiki. Sam is talented, gifted (in so many ways) and the very essence of what you expect from a communicator, healer & reiki master. Thank you Sam, from the bottom of our paws and hearts. Without question I would recommend working with Sam.

We met Sam, thanks to a friend. We saw how she came in contact with our friend's animals and we got curious, so having two little problematic kittens we decided to try it too.
We couldn't really imagine the world that lies behind our animal companions; the sharing and precision we received of details on personal items and character of the cats. A world made of wisdom, sympathy and intelligence, that has allowed us to get more in harmony with our cats. An incredible thing.
Thanks to the very special skills of Samantha, we were also able to receive communication from our Cat, who passed a few years ago. Thanks Sam. Thanks to you, our hearts are now lighter.

“I first met Sam when I lost my dear Blue, a kitten that I had rescued in Italy. Sam very kindly helped me and supported me through my search for my dear little friend. Being an owner of two lovely and interesting cats, I have often turned to Sam for a deeper connection with them.

Each time I have been blown away with the accuracy and the connection she has with them. Because of this, I have since introduced Sam to many of my animal loving friends and she’s been a wonderful and great help to us all in deepening our understanding through connecting and sharing their information.

I would recommend 100 times over, Sam, to anyone that needs to connect with, communicate with and develop a greater understanding of their animal companions.”

Sam is simply a superstar. My dogs mean the world to me, and I was so worried about my Roxy, not knowing what was wrong but realising she needed help. She seemed so depressed, was drooling from her nose, her tail tucked in and all was not well with her mammary region. I booked her in with my vet, in the meantime Sam was able to communicate with Roxy and tell me how she was feeling, what I could do to help her emotionally, and where she felt Roxy was uncomfortable physically. She also told me the chamomile in her biscuit was potentially creating a reaction. I was able to take this information to my vet, and he came up with a plan for her, which included hormone replacement therapy and I cut out the chamomile biscuit. The change in Roxy has been quite remarkable, she plays with the other dogs, her tail is wagging again, her nose has stopped drooling. I am so glad I have such a fantastic vet who listened to me and to Sam, I will never be able to repay Sam for her compassionate and caring service to my Roxy.

I had noticed that my cat Topaz didn't seem to be his normal chirpy self and had spent most of summer lying around and not going far at all. I came across Sam's Website on Facebook about Animal Communication and was very intrigued and wondered if she could help Topaz. She was able to connect with his energy remotely just by his picture and was able to describe a long term relationship where my cat had being friends with another cat, and described how this other cat got lost one time, the number of years they knew each other, and the fact that he moved away and the hearing of news of his death. Using imagery Sam was able to describe the changes around the area and how Topaz felt about that, the wind chimes in the garden, and some items in my family home. She was also able to describe an instrument my father played and a small part of my pet's personality described as "in and out, in and out" which Topaz does frequently. Since Topaz has received Reiki he has being much brighter and much improved. Although I suspected my cat was grieving, Topaz was able to confirm and that he was glad I was asking. Sam was also able to describe the inter-dual relatedness of Topaz and my experience as I also lost an animal companion and friend a few years ago. I would highly recommend Sam and I have valued her honesty and integrity as this was done just using a photo of Topaz showing his face and eyes. I only spoke to Sam by telephone after the reading and can genuinely say no other contact had being made before then.

Sam has kindly helped my Cat twice now. I wasn't sure at the start how it all worked but Sam made a connection with Red and was able to then let me know how to help Red feel more settled. Sam has an amazing gift and had relayed things back from Red that she couldn't have possibly known about previously. I can't thank Sam enough for her advice. She truly loves animals and they certainly respond to her.

In looking for someone to communicate remotely with one of my cats who has been diagnosed with some health conditions, Sam and Brightwater Reiki was recommended to me through a mutual friend. Sam was very quick to respond to me and very kind and generous with her time. She explained in great detail the content of the communication with my cat and has of been of great help at an emotionally challenging time. This has deepened my own understanding of my cat and her needs and has helped me understand how to move forward for her best interests. Sam's love, dedication to and understanding of animals is clear to see. I would definitely recommend!

Our cat Minka went missing. We were quite worried as it was very unlike her so a colleague of mine recommended Sam. She was very warm, kind and helpful. She tuned into Minka's energy and was able to communicate with her. Sam told us she felt Minka was OK and that it felt like she got a fright and was stuck somewhere. “Could I ask whether there is a circle of grass or roundabout type thing nearby? I was shown that. She has a slight tummy ache it seems (maybe hungry?) and felt like she was chased“, revealed Sam. My neighbour’s house has a roundabout right in front of it and there's grass around it! As it turned out, my neighbours were on holiday and their mum went to water their garden. Minka must have been in their garden and gotten a fright because of the water hose and so she ran into their house. The neighbours got quite a surprise when they returned a few days later. Minka was upset, hungry and thirsty but otherwise fine. I can't thank Sam enough for giving us hope and comfort. I would highly recommend her as she's kind and clearly has a gift.

I was introduced to Sam when I was absolutely desperate, not for me but for my dog. Of course I’d heard of her and her incredible gift, but it wasn’t until I needed (and got) her help that I realised how truly life-changing her gift is. At the beginning of this year we lost our cherished Kozak, faithful companion to my husband and I, the whole world to our, at the time, 16-month old puppy, Phoenix. Phoenix had known Kozak since he arrived home at 7 weeks, Kozak was his father, his friend, his mentor, his cuddle-buddy, his security. His loss was devastating. He became depressed, he became physically ill, he lost his hair, he lost weight. And although he responded to our overtures he couldn’t get past his loneliness and grief. Losing my father-in-law, whom Phoenix loved dearly, one month later was another severe blow. We were all of us heart-broken. We didn’t know what to do, how to help him. And then I was put in contact with Sam. That first communication she had with Phoenix was mind-blowing. I knew some people did have this gift of communication and healing, I could never, in my wildest dreams, have imagined how powerful and accurate it could be. From getting my father-in-law’s name, to happy memories of swimming together, to feelings of guilt, abandonment and trying to reassure himself, and much much more. Things which made sense to us but would never have been known outside our intimate family. Knowing what was on his mind, in his heart, was the key to being able to help him (and us!) start to heal. My specific question was should we be distracting Phoenix from his grief or let him live through it, especially in those moments that we could see he was sad. Sam’s advice was invaluable, we followed it and it made a huge difference. It was as if Phoenix and Sam had had a long conversation, a therapy session where Phoenix told her everything. And she was able to tell us. More than that, she was able to send healing energy. I only heard from Sam after she had done so, but I noticed the change before she told me. I will never be able to thank Sam enough for guiding us, for helping us all to heal, and especially for being willing to share her gift with us. Her understanding and compassion coupled with her amazing gift are truly priceless. She helped us to help Phoenix. More than that, she helped us, too. Seeing Phoenix, normally a happy-go-lucky and confident dog, brought so low was incredibly difficult for us, and not knowing how to help him was torture. Seeing him come back to life, seeing him happy again and enjoying life the way that he deserves to, has changed our lives. And knowing that what we do and say and feel has such an impact on him has made us more aware of what he needs from us. Today Phoenix is happy and healthy and enjoying life. I don’t think we would have gotten to this point without Sam’s help. She has given us the gifts of happiness, peace and health, and there are no words of thanks that will ever be enough to express our gratitude to Sam.

Sam is an exceptionally gifted animal communicator, who we had the good fortune to contact last year. I was initially sceptical but also desperate as Roxy had come out of intensive care, was very ill and unhappy and I didn`t know how to help her. I sent Sam a picture of Roxy with no expectations. I was astonished when Sam picked up on things no one else knew. For example Roxy`s possum like toy which I had put in a cupboard and forgotten about, which she wanted in her basket. And she was able to tell me where Roxy was hurting, quite specifically. On one occasion she told me she felt a tingling painful sensation in her right rear foot, Sam didn`t know Roxy was limping. So I examined her paw and there was a huge black thorn embedded in her pad which I pulled out. Everything Sam told me proved incredibly insightful both about her physical wellbeing and what Roxy wanted so I was able to make Roxy`s illness more bearable, I don`t know what we would have done without her, and she is now Roxy`s honorary guardian. Roxy is currently in remission and a very much happier dog. Throughout Sam has been incredibly caring and professional. Not just an exceptionally gifted animal communicator but an exceptional person as well.
